7th Pay Commission Dearness Allowance Rates Latest News

Dearness Allowance is the Property of Government Employees! It comes up to the end of their Life!

Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief both are the same. The allowance is given for Existing employees and Retired employees with the same norms respectively. Dearness Allowance is calculated from the basic pay and Dearness Relief is calculated from the basic pension.

For example, An employee is going to retire in the month of November 2019 and his basic pay is Rs. 49000 in pay level 6 in the pay matrix table.

Dearness Allowance will be calculated in the month of October 2019 from his basic pay as follows…

Dearness Allowance: 49000 x 17% = Rs. 8330

After retired, Dearness Relief will be calculated in the month of November 2019 from his basic pension as follows…

Dearness Relief: Rs. 24500 x 17% = Rs. 4165
