Government has issued orders long time back that the pension of central government employees who retired on or after 1.1.2006 and who have put in service of 20 years or more, will be fixed at 50 percent of last pay drawn or average of the last 10 months whichever is more beneficial. But the pre-2006 pensioners have been excluded from this benefit. Honourable Supreme Court of India has already decided in favour of pensioners in the case of The Manipur Pensioners Association versus Government of Manipur. When will the government issue orders in this behalf for pre-2006 pensioners? Has any Association/Federation of Government Employees/Pensioners taken up the case with the Government?
