The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) in Chennai has made a significant move by shifting its office to Fort St George STN HQ in Chennai. Although the main Depot remains in Chittilapakkam, the dedicated office for acquiring AFD items is now conveniently positioned at the STN HQ within St George Fort. This relocation streamlines the process for those looking to purchase a car, bike, scooter, or other consumables, as it eliminates the necessity of traveling to the Depot in Chitlapakkam, Chromepet, Chennai. CSD Canteen Hours: The CSD Chennai Depot follows set hours each week to serve its patrons effectively. It welcomes guests from Monday to Saturday, operating from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch intermission from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Notably, on Wednesdays, the depot takes a pause for necessary maintenance. Sundays are designated as a day off, granting both staff and visitors a much-needed respite from their weekly routines.
Avadi CSD URC Canteen Weekly Off 2026
The Avadi CSD URC Canteen, located in Avadi, is currently following a designated schedule due to the ongoing Covid restrictions. On weekdays, patrons can visit the canteen in the morning from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and again in the evening from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Sundays are slightly different, as the canteen will only be open for the morning hours, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. It’s important to note that Wednesdays are reserved as a weekly closure day for the canteen.
In addition, there are certain guidelines regarding item purchases at the Avadi CSD URC Canteen. To maintain a safe and organized atmosphere for everyone, there are limits on the number of customers allowed in each area. The main section of the canteen can host up to ten customers at once, while the officers’ counter accommodates seven.
The suitcase counter is limited to three customers, and the branch canteen can serve five at any given time. Pensioners are specifically permitted entry only during the morning hours on Mondays and Tuesdays. For those visiting during regular operational times when restrictions aren’t in place, the CSD Unit Run Canteen (URC) at HVF Avadi maintains its typical schedule.
Chinkara Canteen Holidays and Timings 2026
Nestled at 30 Khatipura Road in Durga Colony, Raval Gi Ka Banda, Hasanpura, Jaipur, the Chinkara Canteen thrives in the lively region of Rajasthan. During the warmer months, from April 1st to October 31st, it welcomes diners on weekdays between 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM, then again from 2:45 PM to 5:30 PM.
