All India RTE School Admission 2026-27: List, Notification & Last Date
The admission process for the 25 percent Right to Education (RTE) quota is currently in progress across all states for the academic year 2026-27. The Right to Education Act (RTE), also known as the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, was enacted by the Indian Parliament on August 4, 2009. This law underscores the importance of ensuring free and compulsory education for children aged 6 to 14 in India, as outlined in Article 21a of the Indian Constitution. It enshrines education as a fundamental right for all children in this age bracket and establishes basic standards for primary education institutions. The Act requires private schools to reserve 25% of their seats for children, with admission criteria based on economic status or caste considerations.
