Revision of HRA to Higher Rates from July 2021
After the Dearness Allowance crosses the benchmark of 25%, the House Rent Allowance (HRA) also increases from the existing rates of 24%, 16%, 85. Revision of Transport Allowance from July 2021
All Central Government employees including Railways are getting Transport Allowance as per the entitlement. The Transport Allowance (TA) is calculated with the current Dearness Allowance. If the Dearness Allowance is 28%, then 28 percentage of entitled Transport Allowance is added to the entitled Transport Allowance. List of 7th CPC Allowances
The 7th Pay Commission compiled a list of 196 Allowances in its report. In addition, it proposed a new allowance Special Train Controllers Allowance for Indian Railways. The 7th Pay Commission recommended that 53 Allowances be abolished, 37 Allowances be subsumed in an existing or newly proposed Allowance and the remaining 95 allowances have been retained and rationalised. 7th Pay Commission has also not made any recommendations in respect of 12 Allowances of Ministry of Railways which are included in the list of 197 allowances. How to calculate salary after the 7th Pay Commission?
Basic Salary (Basic Pay) in Pay Matrix Level is the key element of salary calculation for Central Government employees. The total amount of Basic salary + Dearness Allowance + House Rent Allowance + Transport Allowance + Eligible Other Allowances and incentives is called monthly gross salary for Government employees in India.
How to fix salary in 7th Pay Commission?
As per the Government decision, the salary fixation is fixed for Central Government employees after 1.1.2016. The fitment factor is 2.57.
What is the salary structure of the 7th Pay Commission?
The 7th pay commission introduced a new pay fixation table called Pay Matrix Table and the pay structure is started from Pay Level 1 to 18.
What is DA from July 2021?
As per the Cabinet decision taken on 14th July 2021, the Dearness Allowance is enhanced to 28% from July 2021 for all groups of Central Govt employees, Pensioners and Family Pensioners.
What is new DA announcement after Cabinet approval?
After the suspended period of 18 months, on 14th July 2021, the Government has revoked the suspension of Dearness Allowance from 1st July 2021 for Central Govt employees and pensioners.
Is DA for July 2021 announced?
No, not yet announced. The three instalments of DA has been only revoked. The freezing of DA (1.1.2020, 1.7.2020 and 1.1.2021) was only withdrawn from 1st July 2021.

The ‘July 2021 DA’ will be finalized after the calculation of DA for the period from Jan 2021 to June 2021 with AICPIN data.
