Delhi Capitals executed a brilliant piece of business in the auctions by acquiring England’s Phil Salt for a price of INR 2 crore. They made yet another fantastic acquisition when they paid INR 5.5 crore for Mukesh Kumar, an uncapped Indian bowler. The 29-year-old cricketer received his first call-up to the Indian team earlier this year for the ODI series against South Africa.
Following a bidding war with Royal Challengers Bangalore, they reinforced their middle order by signing the seasoned Indian batter Manish Pandey. Ishant Sharma, a local lad and seasoned Indian bowler, was also recruited to the team after being purchased for INR 50 lakh. The Delhi Capitals signed veteran Rilee Rossouw for 4.6 crores after he went unsigned in the previous round.
