The initial phase of calculating Dearness Allowance (DA) effective from July 1, 2024, has been finalized using the January 2024 All India Consumer Price Index (AICPIN) data. The Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the year 2016 has risen by 0.1 point, resulting in a confirmed value of 138.9. In accordance with the formula for DA calculation outlined by the 7th Central Pay Commission, the Dearness Allowance percentage has been adjusted to 50.85%.
