Proposal to Include Central Asian Countries with the ambit of LTC
Central Govt Employees travel to 5 Central Asian Countires under Leave Travel Concession Scheme very soon!
A proposal from Ministry of External Affairs to include Five Central Asian Countires namely Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan under the scheme of LTC.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) seeking comments on this scheme and the same proposal send to Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA), Ministry of Tourism (MOT), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Department of Expenditure.
Early in the 7th CPC Report, “there are demands to increase the frequency of LTC, especially of the “All India visit, and extend LTC to foreign countries also.” But the Commission has refused to comment on this subject. The report said, ” Extension of LTC to foreign countries is not in the ambit of this Commission”.
