  1. Kindly refer to table No 1.of circular No 555 .The pension of all ranks has been enhanced every year other than rank of MAJOR.,Which has been fixed at Rs 23815.00 from 22 years to 33 years.Why it so? In the rank of Lt Col/Col all are getting same pension whether he retire after getting the 1 increment or 10 increments during service in the rank of Lt Col/Col specially in time scale promotion.
    2.If the answer is that now no more Majors are retiring after AVS promotion report then no more Lt Col/Col are also retiring after AVS report on superannuation.There are so many cases of Lt Col those who has been retired premature after getting only three or two increments but getting the full pension as Rs 34765/=PM.
    3.Kindly do the same justice with Majors by giving annual enhancement 3 % in pension as to other officers.Thanks to authority if somebody read it.

  2. I superannuated on completing actual qualifying service of 29 years & 7 months in Dec 1995 in the rank of Wg,Cdr.(s). Will 7 years weightage be added to my actual qualifying service ? Will 33 years & above pension scale be applicable in my case for OROP ?

  3. Thank You Sir, Honourable PM & RM for Implementing 40 Year old Demand of OROP—–Yet Some Discripencies & Anomalies remain—Please resolve EARLIEST…….
    In 2004 all Lt. Cols. with 26 Years service promoted COLONEL ( Time Scale )……..What about those who had RETIRED by 2004 even with more than 26 Years Service !!!!!
    Now the Problem ! Many of such Lt.Cols (selection grade ) had commanded Battalions BUT were NOT selected to be Selection Grade COLONELS & Retired as Lt.Cols
    Pre-2o04 with more than 26Years Service……….Officers junior to them in same Battalions who ALSO WERE NOT Selected for Promotion Became Col(TS) & are now
    drawing More Pension since 2004 !! Against Letter & Spirit of OROP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. What will the basic pension of a Honorary Lt. Having 33 yrs of service wef 01 Jan 2016 retired on 31st Oct 2002. Present Basic pension is 15465.

  6. There is increase in the pension of all the ranks of officers except Majors after 22years of service to 33yrs and above . It may be good for the serving officers because they becomes lt col (TS) very soon but priviously they were waiting for 21yrs. So the majors retd before 2004 May be considered for the pension of Lt cols(TS). Pension of regular commission majors is less than EC/SSC Majors.
