Lastly, for those holding honorary ranks such as Lieutenant and Captain, they will receive pensions of Rs. 20,889, while Non-Commissioned Officers (E) will have a pension set at Rs. 10,584, ensuring that all ranks are compensated fairly for their vital contributions to the service. This new structure represents a commitment to providing adequate financial support to those who have dedicated their lives to the defense of the nation.

What is One Rank One Pension?

One Rank One Pension is a scheme introduced by the Government of India in which pension amount for retired officers and personnel will be re-fixed every year with an increment linked to dearness allowance. This means that all military veterans with same ranks and same years of service regardless of when they retired are expected to receive the same pension, except Special Pensioners who do not draw from central govt. All present and future retirees would get revised (increased) pensions to bring them at par with recent retirees.

What is the OROP Table?

OROP Table, or ‘One Rank One Pension’ table, is a system used by the Indian armed forces to guarantee retirement benefits for serving personnel. It seeks to ensure that every person who retires from the forces at any rank receives a uniform pension regardless of their last pay drawn. All retirees are therefore entitled to receive the same pension amount and enjoy unlimited revised pensions linked to bonus amounts announced periodically by government based on inflationary trends. OROP Table also directly links military service with financial reward and proper retirement income assurance for all those who have served in India’s defense services.

Asper table 7 of pcda circular no. 555, my OROP basic pay suppose to be Rs 16160/= per month. But my OROP basi has been fixed at Rs 16090/= per month which is for 32 yrs of qualifying service which is wrong altogether. I approached various agencies but nothing yeilded. It is very demoralsing factor & violation of order.

Personnel who were enrolled as direct entry graduate in the rank of Havildar were enrolled between the age 20 to 25. Accordingly their pay was fixed in the rank of Havildar. Direct entry personnel who rertired in the rank of Sub or Sub Majs after completion of their terms of engagement ie 28, 29 or 30 years of service were given the 50% pension of their pay last drawn which was more from the minimum pension fixed for the rank they were drawing. Now it is seen their pension has been fixed according to the personnel enrolled as Sepoy based on the length of service which is not justified. There is a lot of difference between the pension of Honorary lieutenant and Sub Maj where ever everybody served where they were posted. More over the same things happened while granting honorary commission to the direct enrolled persons. If I am wrong the things can be checked at your level. that what is the percentage of direct entry persons who granted honorary commission in comparison to persons enrolled as Sepoy and why.

Sir,I was retired as subedar after 28 yrs of service in Gp x and now basic pension before orop was Rs. 13105.00 but after declaration orop new basic pension is only Rs,13215.00 which means a difference of Rs, 110.00 only, In this connection I am to say that I am not understood as to how the calculation has been benefited to a jco of group X who has been retired after 28 yrs service. Please let me know if I am wrong in explaining the difference? And moreover now I am anxious to know from you about the anomalies in the basic scales of other groups in my equivalent rank and service length. Please do help me in satisfying about the new orop benefit to a retired JCO’s of my rank and group.

Sir, as per Govt of India Min of Defence Department of Ex Servicemen welfare letter No 12(1)/2014/D(Pen/Policy)-Part II dated 03 Feb 2016 the rates of revised pension are to be implemented with efffect from 01 Jul 2014 and pension of those who are in receipt of pension as on 01 Jul 2014 is to be revised in accordance of the pension tables annexed to the ibid letter. However, there is nothing mentioned about the revision of pension of those defence personal who retired after 01.07.2014. Please clarify this aspect. Further, a JCO retired on or before 01 Jul 2014 after rendering 30 years service in gp Y was granted basic pension of Rs 11970/- as per 6th CPC and his basic pension under OROP scheme is to be revised as Rs 12690/-. The same way a JCO of similar rank and service retired after 01 jul 2014 was also granted basic pension of Rs 11970/- but their pension has not been revised under OROP scheme. Thus not revising the pension of those who retired after 01 Jul 2014 is injustice with them. Please clarify this issue.

Sir, In Army Hony rank granted to the rank of Naik, Havildar, Naib Subedar and so on. But in Air Force Hony rank given only at the time of Superannuation retirement. I served for 32 Years in Air Force with dedicated service and I took pre-mature retirement since I did not get promotion in time due to sudden changes of promotion policy. I f I would have got promotion in time, I could have become MWO in 2005. Whereas, I took retirement in the rank of JWO only. Now I am suffering with the lower pension of JWO rank after serving 32 yrs. By seeing my service career definitely I should be given Hony rank of Warrant Officer for pensionery benefit. I was in promotion panel 2003-2004, 2004-05 & 2005-06 and still I did not get promotion till my retirement date 31 August 2005. Finally my name came at Sl No. 1 in promotion panel 2005-06 and it was a heartfelt time for me. Now I am 62 years old senior citizen. In OROP I am being considered only for 28 years service for pensionery benefit. Hence I am so much looser in this manner and anomalies in OROP fixation. Hence I may be granted to Hony Warrant Officer for pensionery benefit only and it will be a honour to me. Authorities may please be approached accordingly. I humbly and sincerely request Hon. PM Saheb, Hon. Defence Minister & other Highter authorities to mitigate this anomaly of OROP and I must be given suitable pension.

Education Instructor trade in IAF is the only trade which requires minimum graduation degree along with one year teaching experience for selection .They join as a sargeant in IAF. Subsequently they get promotions as per laid down norms. Therefore: (a) Equating their length of service after retirement for OROP benefit is totally unjustified . (b) If by virtue of their hard work and dedication they get promotions in time and retire after their initial term of engagement then they are not benefited at all, infact if their pention is not protected they are loosers as per OROP notified by Government .Hence no benefit to these trade personnel by OROP. (c)Hence in order to compensate this trade; number of increments should. received in that particular rank should be added after equating correspnding length of service as per OROP Table.

Very great hike for Real Heroes… There’s no value, meaning of Retired Soldiers..
Infront of Politicians… we really missed Ataljii and Jorge Farnadez.. Any how Namo… Namaha..

Quiet disappointing. What a Hangama was going on. A Subedar of Y gp completed 28 yrs service is allowed a hike of mere 298/-. And the Govt was propagating minimum hike above 2500/- DISAPPOINTING ! DISAPPOINTING ! DISAPPOINTING! No other word

    Sir
I see the above table, so there is lot of difference between X & Y groups basic pay so i belong to AMC, those are individual selected in said course in Nursing trade, after completion of class-iv and iii, then they will selected to special group according to Marks. This is the too much difference between said groups. I am fed up, am not KUSH.
