The grave anomaly of OROP entitlements to pre 2006 retirees vide Table 3 meant for TA Officers where all the officers ie Captains.Majors, Lt Col (TS) and Lt Col are placed in the same PB-3 with the same entitlement for all these rank officers,whereas Lt Col of select stream are already placed in PB-4 after implementation of the sixth pay commission report.and cosequently because of this grave anomaly no REPEAT no OROP payments have been made to these retired TA officers from pre 2006 period. An immediate amendment is required..
The grave anomaly needs to be addressed immediately because so far no payments of OROP dues have been paid to Lt Col Selection grade so far.
As per Table 3 of OROP all the categories of officers i.e Capt,Major,Lt Col(TS) and Lt Col are placed in the same Band 3 with the same pension whereas Lt Col of select stream are already placed in Band 4 along with Col(TS),Col and Brig and presently receiving pension as such.This anomaly is confusing needs to be rectified accordingly.In fact Lt Col (S) should have been clubbed with Col(TS) of Band 4.
