Payment of Travelling Allowance for Election Duty – Railway Board Circular 2022
As per the official communication from the Railway Board, regarding the Bye-Election 2022 to AC No. 39 (Rajinder Nagar), there has been a provision for the payment of Travelling Allowance (TA) for duties performed during the election. This circular serves as a guideline to ensure that all eligible employees are compensated for their travel expenses incurred while carrying out their duties in relation to the election. The purpose of this provision is to acknowledge and support the efforts made by railway personnel in facilitating and maintaining a smooth electoral process.

Sub: Payment of Travelling Allowance (TA) to the Officer/staff for duties performed during election to Bye-Election 2022 to Assembly Constituency No. 39 (Rajinder Nagar).
It has been decided to permit payments of Travelling Allowance to the Officers Staff of Railway Board who nave performed election duty in various capacities during election to Bye-Election 2022 to Assembly Constituency No. 39 (Rajinder Nagar).
Accordingly, concerned Officers/Staff who wish to claim T.A. may submit their TA Bills in triplicate mentioning the date-wise details of the election duties performed, duly certified by the respective ARO RO Secter Officer SDM (Election) Nodal Officer of concerned District Election Office for arranging payments. It may be noted that such of the Officers/Staff who have performed long term duties may claim their TA as payable for their ‘to & fro’ official journey item their temporary Headquarters only. Further, TA may be claimed by the Officers/Staff who have performed short term duties for their “to & fro” journey on official duty as payable from their permanent Headquarters i.e. Railway Board offices at Rail Bhawan, Railway Office Complex, Tilak Bridge (previously known as COFMOW Building Complex) & Dayabasti and National Rail Museum, Chanakyapuri.
The payment of TA to the employees will be subject to the condition that no official vehicle was arranged for them to perform the Election duties and neither they have claimed any TA from the concerned election office nor received any TA or advance in this regard.
