Productivity Linked Bonus, Ad-Hoc Bonus Calculator Online 2024 for Central Government Employees
Ad-hoc Bonus Calculation for CG Employees
- The quantum of Non-PLB (ad-hoc bonus) will be worked out on the basis of average emoluments/calculation ceiling whichever is lower.
- To calculate Non-PLB (Ad-hoc bonus) for one day, the average emoluments in a year will be divided by 30.4 (average number of days in a month). This will thereafter be multiplied by the number of days of bonus granted.
Bonus Calculation Formula of Central Govt Employees
(Monthly Emoluments x 30) / 30.4
To illustrate, taking the calculation ceiling of monthly emoluments of Rs. 7000 (where actual average emoluments exceed Rs. 7000), Non-PLB (Ad-hoc Bonus) for thirty days would work out to Rs. 7000 × 30 / 30.4 = Rs.6907.89 (rounded off to Rs.6908/-).

78 Days Bonus for Railway Employees 2023
The Cabinet has approved a Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) of Rs 1968.87 Crores for Railway employees. This bonus is equivalent to 78 days’ wages and will be given to eligible non-gazetted Railway employees for the financial year 2022-23. The bonus is a recognition of the excellent performance of the Railway staff, who loaded a record cargo of 1509 Million Tonnes and carried nearly 6.5 Billion Passengers. The payment of PLB will serve as an incentive to motivate employees to further improve their performance.
To determine the 78-day bonus in Railways, follow these steps:
1. Begin with the bonus allocation for this year, which is set at 78 days.
2. Calculate the ceiling amount, which is Rs. 7000 per month.
3. Multiply the ceiling amount by 12 months to obtain the total annual amount, resulting in Rs. 84000.
4. Determine the wage for one day by dividing the total annual amount by 365 days, resulting in Rs. 230.13.
5. Finally, multiply the daily wage by the number of bonus days (78) to obtain the final bonus amount of Rs. 17951.
