The Pay Matrix Table for Central Government Employees in India is an important table for computing the base salary for central government employees. The pay matrix table was introduced by the 7th Central Pay Commission. This table has been in operation since 2006. The Pay Matrix is more than simply a table of numbers! What is a Pay Level?
The Central Government of India defines the designation or grade of its employees using a system known as pay level. It is influenced by the employee’s current position and grade, as well as other factors. Levels 1 through 18 comprise the 19 levels that comprise the pay level (including 13A). The wage range varies by level, and the higher the level, the higher the salary. The starting basic income for Level 1 employees, for example, is Rs. 18,000, while the highest monthly salary for Level 18 employees is Rs. 2,50,000.
