How to calculate Additional DA?

After implementation of 7th pay commission, additiona DA calculation is based on Consumer Price Index (IW) BY 2001=100. A year divided into two segment form January to June and July to December for calculating additional DA.

Determination of additional DA as per the recommendations of 7th pay commission, find the average from the total of six months of CPI and divide by the link factor of 261.42. [How to calculate 7th CPC DA?]

2nd Installment of Additional DA in 2019

An another additional 5% Dearness Allowance due from July 2019 to all Central Government employees and Pensioners including all Armed Forces Personnel and Railway Employees will be declared soon!

90% of the formal procedures are completed on finalizing DA and waiting for Cabinet Committee approval. After getting approval from Cabinet Committee, Finance Ministry will publish orders for payment of Dearness allowance with effect from 1st July 2019 with arrears.
