The Union Cabinet Committee is expected to grant approval for a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) starting from July 1st, 2023, applicable to Central Government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners. The revised DA rate is anticipated to be disbursed alongside the September pay slip. Additionally, the arrears for July and August 2023 may also be provided in September 2023. However, the Finance Ministry will issue the necessary directives to facilitate the payment for eligible employees and officers.

Please refer to the table below for the corresponding Dearness Allowance (DA) rates, specifically for 42% and 46% of the basic salary. The table also highlights the difference between these two rates. Additionally, it should be noted that as of 1.7.2023, an additional 4% of D.A. has been implemented for all categories of Central Government employees and officers.

DR Arrears Calculator July 2023

We are pleased to offer you a convenient and complimentary online tool that allows you to calculate the hikes and arrears for your basic salary. Every year in September, the Central government announces the second installment of additional Dearness Allowance (DA) for its current and retired employees. All eligible individuals, including retired personnel, eagerly anticipate the announcement of a 4% DA hike starting from July 2023. Service employees will receive an increased 4% of their basic pay, while retired employees will receive 4% of their basic pension. It is important to note that the minimum amount of DA is set to increase by Rs. 720 per month for salary earners and Rs. 360 for pension recipients.
