DA Order for Central Government Employees from January 2020
The Ministry of Finance not yet issued orders on a 4% increase from January 2020 for Central Government employees and Pensioners till now. Entire India is under Lockdown to contain the spreading Coronavirus from 25.3.2020 to 14.4.2020. After lifting the lockdown the formal orders will be issued.
On 13th March 2020, the Union Cabinet Committee has approved to increase the Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees and pensioners from January 2020 by 17% [Click to read in detail]. The formal orders may be issued by the end of March 2020.
But unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all Central and State government offices have been closed from 25th March to 14th April 2020.
After lifting the lockdown, the Finance Ministry will issue orders for the payment of Dearness Allowance and arrears for Central Govt employees and Pensioners.
DA and DR Rates from 1.1.2020
The new and revised rate of Dearness Allowance for CG Employees and Dearness Relief for CG Pensioners with effect from 1st January 2020 is as follows:
17% + 4% = 21%
Calculation of DA for CG Employees = 21% of basic pay
Calculation of DR for CG Pensioners = 21% of basic pension
