The Government of India had taken the historic decision to implement OROP in November, 2015. This fulfilled the long standing demand of the Defence Forces personnel after 42 years and benefited over 18 lakh ex-servicemen and war widows.
Sir, At the outset, I pay my gratitues to the pressent Government and especilly to our H’ble PM Shri Modi ji who has resolved the long outstanding issue of ‘One Rank-One Pension’ of Ex-Servicemen by giving them a special gift of ‘One Rank-Two Pensions’ to the JCOs/ORs and ‘One Rank-One Pensxion’ to the Commissioned Officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force vide MOD Letter Dated 03 rd, Feb,2016. In the case of JCOs and ORs, it is sanctioned ‘ One Rank and Two Pensions, but in the case of Commissioned offiers, it is sanction ‘ One Rank and One Pension’ . Thanks for adopting two difrerent policies between JCOs/ORs and Commissioned Officers..
