Night Duty Allowance to Railway Employees – Pay Ceiling 43600

On February 9th, 2022, the Railway Board issued an order regarding the imposition of a pay ceiling for entitlement of Night Duty Allowance for railway employees. The new ceiling has been set at Rs. 43,600 per month, which means that any employee earning more than this amount will not be eligible for the allowance. This decision has been made to control costs and ensure that the Night Duty Allowance is given only to those employees who meet the set criteria.

The Pay Ceiling for Night Duty Allowance for Railway Employees is set at Rs. 43,600.

Railway employees who are required to work during the night shift are eligible for Night Duty Allowance.

Night Duty Allowance is calculated as a percentage of the basic pay. The exact calculation varies depending on the employee’s job category and pay level.

The issue with the Pay Ceiling of Rs. 43,600 is that it limits the maximum amount of Night Duty Allowance that an employee can receive. This has raised concerns among some employees who feel that the Pay Ceiling is outdated and should be revised to account for inflation and the increased cost of living.

Yes, there have been demands from various quarters to revise the Pay Ceiling for Night Duty Allowance. The issue is currently being discussed and considered by the relevant authorities.

The timeline for revising the Pay Ceiling is uncertain at this point. It will depend on the decision of the authorities and the outcome of the discussions.

Employees can raise their concerns regarding the Pay Ceiling through their respective employee unions, representatives, or other appropriate channels. They can also participate in any official surveys or consultations organized by the authorities.

Employees can refer to the official documents, circulars, and notifications issued by the Railway Board or consult their respective employee unions or human resources department for more information on Night Duty Allowance and the Pay Ceiling.
