Grade Pay Salary after 7th Pay Commission 2025

Grade Pay Structure Abolished in 7th Pay Commission

The grade pay structure that was previously in place for Central Government employees, as established by the 6th Pay Commission, has been abolished by the 7th Pay Commission. Effective January 1st, 2016, a new pay matrix table has been implemented as a replacement.

What distinguishes the grade pay of Rs. 4200 from other pay grades?
During the transition from the 5th CPC to the 6th CPC, the conversion of basic salaries of Rs. 5000, Rs. 5500, and Rs. 6500 held great significance. The consolidation of these three stages ultimately resulted in the establishment of the grade pay of Rs. 4200.

1800 Grade Pay Salary after 7th Pay Commission

The salary structure for employees classified under Grade Pay 1800 (PB-1 5200-20200) has been revised by the 7th Pay Commission. The minimum salary for this grade has been increased to Rs. 30,717, while the maximum salary has been set at Rs. 35,006. In accordance with the commission’s guidelines, the Gross Salary for employees in this grade has been converted to Pay Matrix Level 1. 1900 Grade Pay Salary after 7th Pay Commission

The salary structure for employees at Grade Pay 1900 (PB-1 5200-20200) has been revised by the 7th Pay Commission. The minimum salary for this grade has now been set at Rs. 33,814, while the maximum salary is Rs. 38,483. In accordance with the commission’s guidelines, the Gross Salary for employees in this grade has been converted to Pay Matrix Level 2. 2000 Grade Pay Salary after 7th Pay Commission

According to the guidelines set forth by the 7th Pay Commission, the minimum remuneration for individuals holding a Grade Pay of 2000 (PB-1 5200-20200) has been revised to Rs. 38,125, while the maximum salary stands at Rs. 45,219. The Gross Salary for these employees is determined through a conversion process, whereby it is equated to Pay Matrix Level 5. In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the 7th Pay Commission, individuals employed in positions classified under the 4200 Grade Pay (PB-2 9300-34800) bracket will be entitled to a salary ranging from a minimum of Rs. 60,456 to a maximum of Rs. 70,290. The determination of the Gross Salary for these employees is based on the conversion to Pay Matrix Level 6. The calculation of the minimum Gross Salary encompasses various components, which are detailed as follows.
