If DOPT had issued Executive Assistant scheme in Central Secretariat,it is a good news but it is hoped that it will issue its orders for extension of this scheme for other central government offices/departments also so as to overcome the anomalies arisen due to implementation of 6th CPC among the clerical staff who are graduates and postgraduates andw shoulder high responsibilities in all the offices of central government and have been justifiably demanding just and genuine increase of grade pay from atleast 2800/ for LDCs and 4200/for UDCs who are nowadays very competant in handling all the responsibilities of official duties such as computer operating with all other relevant and non-relevant assignments and almostw in all the offices due to paucity of staff one employee has to do the work in place of 4 to 5 sanctioned posts. Now the time has come that DOPT should take pity on this neglected cadre by extending EA Scheme in all central government offices.
