Dearness Allowance (DA) Hike Calculator Online
Dearness Allowance (D.A.) holds utmost significance as a component of the salary structure for Government employees in India. The rate of Dearness Allowance undergoes revision twice a year. The purpose behind providing additional installments to Government servants is to offset the rising prices of essential commodities. The computation of these supplementary installments of Dearness Allowance relies on the recommendations put forth by the 7th pay commission. The process is remarkably straightforward! Simply choose your current pay matrix level and basic salary from the designated input fields, followed by clicking the ‘Calculate’ button. Subsequently, the tool will present you with a comprehensive breakdown of your current Dearness Allowance amount.
What is the process for calculating Dearness Allowance (DA) in a salary?
With the recent implementation of the new AICPIN, the calculation method for DA has undergone some changes compared to the previous approach. The new index is first converted to the old index (CPI (I-W) 2006=100), and then calculated using the method specified by the pay commission. To facilitate this calculation, we have developed a user-friendly online tool that can determine the current rate of DA and the corresponding amount based on the pay matrix level and basic salary.
