West Bengal 6th pay commission implementation date and implementation of West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019
As per the notification issued by the Finance Department of West Bengal on 25th September 2019, fixation of pay only implemented from 1st January 2016 and all other allowances are effective from 1st January 2020.
Granting of Pay in the Revised Pay Structure
A Government employee will be entitled to draw pay in the revised pay structure with effect from 1st January, 2020 after initial fixation of pay in the revised pay structure as indicated in rule 7 of the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019 as per his option which he may exercise under the provisions of these rules.
Revised Pay Fixation from 1.1.2016
As per ROPA Rule No. 7, the initial pay fixation in the revised pay structure from 1.1.2016. And after annual increment will be given in the following manner up to 2019.
For example, an employee’s Rs. 18100 wih Grade Pay of Rs. 4100 in PB-3, his pay will be fixed Rs. 47600 in Pay matrix level 11.
Revised Pay as on 1.1.2016: Rs. 47,600
Grant of annual increment on 1.7.2016: Rs. 49,000
Grant of annual increment on 1.7.2017: Rs. 50,500
Grant of annual increment on 1.7.2018: Rs. 52,000
Grant of annual increment on 1.7.2019: Rs. 53,600
