7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix Increment Table for Level 15 (HAG Scale)
India’s bureaucracy is a complex system with a plethora of officer ranks. The HAG Scale, which is the highest grade, has various grades. Ministries and departments have officers of different grades, including Higher Administrative Grade-I, Higher Administrative Grade-II, Senior Administrative Grade, Senior Administrative Grade (Adhoc), Non-Functional Selection Grade, Junior Administrative Grade, Junior Administrative Grade (Adhoc), Senior Administrative Scale, Senior Administrative Scale (Adhoc), Junior Time Scale, and Junior Time Scale (Adhoc). The pay matrix table’s 16th stage is known as ‘Pay Matrix Level 15,’ with only eight stages in the pay hierarchy ranging from Rs. 18200 to Rs. 224100. The minimum basic salary for these officers is Rs. 1,82,200, while the maximum basic salary is Rs. 5,500. Additionally, the minimum increment rate is Rs. 2,24,100, while the maximum increment rate is Rs. 6,500.
15 Pay Level Salary Structure
The 16th stage of pay matrix table is ‘Pay Matrix Level 15’. The pay hierarchy has only 8 stages from Rs. 18200 to Rs. 224100.
- Minimum Basic Salary: Rs. 1,82,200
- Maximum Basic Salary: Rs. 5,500
- Minimum Increment: Rs. 2,24,100
- Maximum Increment: Rs. 6,500

The higher official grades are ‘Higher Administrative Grade’. As per the 7th Pay Commission, pay matrix level 15 and above are the HAG Scale with starting basic salary above Rs. 182200.

The minimum annual increment for pay matrix level is Rs. 5500.
