Dearness Allowance to Andhra Pradesh Government Employees 2018

A new announcement was made that has great importance to the State Government Employees. Orders, which were issued with immediate effect from the beginning of 1st January 2017, to increase the Dearness Allowance from 22% (22.008%) to 24% (24.104%). This increase in the allowance will be a welcome relief for many of the employees who have been struggling financially due to the increasing costs of living.

  • Jan 2017 to Feb 2018 (14 months) to GPF Employees
  • 10% of DA Arrears from 1.1.2017 to 28.2.2018 to CPS Employees
  • Cash paid to all employees from April 2018
  • 90% Cash to CPS Employees from 1.1.2017 to 28.2.2018

Dearness Allowance (D.A.) is an additional payment made to government employees to help them cope with the rising cost of living.

The rate of D.A. for the Revised Pay Structure of 2005 and 2010 is calculated based on the percentage of D.A. announced by the Central Government. The rate of D.A. for the Revised Pay Structure of 2015 is based on 0.524% for every percentage of D.A. announced by the Central Government, effective from 1st January 2014.
