6th CPC DA (221%) to Railway Personnel from Jan 2023
With reference to this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 01.11.2022 (PC-VI/408, RBE No.141/2022), which revised the rates of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.07.2022 for railway employees continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/grade pay as per the 6th Central Pay Commission, the rate of DA applicable to railway employees falling under the above category has been enhanced. Effective from 01.01.2023, the rate of DA admissible to these employees has been increased from the existing rate of 212% to 221%. It is important to note that the provisions contained in Paras 3, 4 & 5 of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 09.09.2008 (S.No. PC-VI/3, RBE No.106/2008) will continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance under these orders. This communication has been issued with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

Please refer to this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 01.11.2022 (PC-VI/408, RBE No.141/2022) revising the rates of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.07.2022 in respect of railway employees continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/ grade pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission.
2. The rate of DA admissible to railway employees of above category is hereby enhanced from the existing rate of 212% to 221% w.e.f. 01.01.2023.
3. The provisions contained in Paras 3, 4 & 5 of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 09.09.2008 (S.No. PC-VI/3, RBE No.106/2008) shall continue to be applicable while regulating) Dearness Allowance under these orders.
4. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
