The expected Dearness Allowance (DA) calculation for Bank offices, Sub-Staff and Clerks through a simple online tool.

Bank DA Calculation Formula

Among the three months data from July 2020 to September 2020, we received two months of Consumer Price Index.

• Consumer Price Index for the month of July 2020: 336
• Consumer Price Index for the month of August 2020: 338

In case of the AICPIN (All India Consumer Price Index Number) for the month of September 2020 will be increased to 340 points, then the calculation of Bankers DA as follows:

CPI Linking Factor

• All India Index BY 1982=100 (Effective from 1988): 4.63
• All India Index BY 1960 (Effective from 1968)=100: 4.93

Conversion Step of CPI-IW Index

• Formula: CPI x 4.63 x 4.93
• CPI July 2020: 7669.50 (336)
• CPI August 2020: 7715.15 (338)
• CPI September 2020: 7760.81 (340 Expected)

Final Step of Expected DA from Nov 2020:

• Average: 7715.15
• Minus 4440: 3275.15
• Divided by 4: 818.78
• DA %: 81.87
