Revision of Pension Fixation for Pre-2006 Pensioners – Calculator with Procedure

Pre-2006 pensioners means, who were all retired from service before 2006 they are called Pre-2006 Pensioners. This calculator is presented for the employees who were retired from service before 2006 in the 5th Pay Commission regime.

Revised Pension Calculation for Pre-2006 Pensioners (This calculator designed for only Pensioners retired between Jan 1996 to Dec 2005) as per the DoPPW OM dated 6th July 2017. According to the Concordance Tables given in the order, all group of CG pensioners can check their revision of pension in this calculator with pay matrix table.

For example, an employee retired on 30.6.1999 in the pay scale of Rs.4,800 (4000-6000), his pension calculation will be as follows…

1. Date of Retirement 30.06.1999
2. Pay Scale at the time of retirement 4000-6000
3. Basic Pay on retirement 4,800
4. Pension as on 01.01.2016 before revision 5,424
5. Basic Pension (Using Multiplying  Factor 2.57) 13,940
6. Pay fixed on notional basis on 1.1.2006 11,330 (PB-1, GP-2400)
7. Pay fixed on notional basis on 1.1.2016 29,600 (Level-4)
8. Basic Pension (Using Pay Fixation Method 14,800
9. Revised Pension w.e.f. 1.1.2016 14,800

    Dear Sir,

    My father was a Police Sub Inspector working for Karnataka state who got retired in 2006, We lost him around 3 years back and from then My mom is getting her family pension of Rs.10800 whcih is less than pension of a normal Police Constable. I tried getting it clarified from Treasury office and it was informed to me that she is being paid 7000 Rs, less. As per the pensioners book it was 5040 Rs. PP, as of 01-07-2005, can you please check or advise me where can i check these details of what exactly is the pension amount in todays date.

      After your father’s age more than 67 years your mom”s will get family pension is only 60% of his full pension plus D.R.

    Respected Sir,

    May father was retired from railway in July 1993 from the post of station superintendent .His last basic pay was Rs. 2825 /- and total payment was Rs. 5226/- at the time of retirement. as on to day his pension has been not revise and fixed.
    kindly tell me present pension after revised and re fixations.

      Answer to V.P.SRIVASTAVA ; As per your father’s last basic pay of Rs.2825/- in the scale 1640-6–2600-75-2900 his revised pension w.e.f. 1/1/2016 is Rs.26,800/- plus D.R. as applicable rates now from 1/7/2018 at 9%. Further informing you that if he has retired on superannuation his age may be 83, from the attaining the age of 80 her pension with D.R. will be the addition of 20%. If it has not revised contact his ex-employer/PAO authority/BANK.

    your 7pc revised pension calculators for pensioners of 5th pc and 6th pc
    separately are fine to find revised pension and simple. I like it, good job tool.
    But I couldn’t understand the provision of commutation pension portion again on revised pension. If it is real it is good idea. BUT THE REPAYING PERIOD MUST BE LIMITED TO 10 TEN YEARS OR 120 MONTHS ONLY. (not 15 years as of now)
    Any way let us have the reference No. for the above notification. Thank you
