7th CPC Pay Matrix Table
7th Central Pay Commission recommended three types of Pay Matrix Tables in its report. First one is “Civilian Pay Matrix Table” for all staff and officers working in Central Government Services.
And another one for Defence Personnel, name is “Defence Pay Matrix Table”. And last one is “MNS Pay Matrix Table” specially recommended for Military Nursing Service Personnel.
The Pay Matrix Tables are not only used for existing employees, also pensioners. Pension fixation also calculated through the Matrix Tables.
Civilian Pay Matrix Table
A single Table for All Group of Central Government employees and Officers. It contains 540 Cells and 40 Index in Vertical and 18 Pay Levels in Horizontal. After fixing the Revised Pay as per 7th CPC, then there is no need to calculate Annual Increment. And also the Pay Fixation on Promotion or MACP is very easy to understand. Defence Pay Matrix Table
Armed Force Defence Personnel (Army, Navy and Air Force): 7th Pay Commission recommended a separate Pay Matrix Table for Defence Personnel. It starts with Pay Level 3 and end with Level 18 and total of 19 Pay Hierarchy Levels in the table.
MNS Pay Matrix Table
Military Nursing Service Officers: 7th Pay Commission recommended an another Pay Matrix Table for MNS Officers.
