All State Governments in India are following the same methodology as the Central Government in declaring Dearness Allowance to their employees! State Government has no separate calculation method for deciding the percentage of additional Dearness Allowance. Punjab DA Arrears 2023
On Wednesday, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, shared via Twitter that the interest rate on the due amount of Dearness Allowance for government employees has been increased. He also announced that an installment of Dearness Allowance arrears has been released. The due amount of Dearness Allowance arrears, which saw an increase of 6% from July 1, 2015, to December 31, 2015, has been approved for Rs.356 crores. The Chief Minister expressed that this is a significant gift for government employees and emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling their promises.

Punjab 11% DA Hike
On November 2, 2021, the Punjab Cabinet Committee approved an increase in the 11% subsidy rate from 17% to 28%, with effect from July 2021 for its employees and pensioners.
