Subject: Requirement of taking prior permission for leaving station/ headquarters from going abroad while on leave.

Undersigned is directed to say that a need for further streamlining the procedure for grant of permission for going abroad on private visit has been felt.   1. Is there any requirement of taking prior permission for leaving
    station/headquarters while on leave (other than going abroad), if yes, under which rule. Please clarify.

    • No. For the purpose of duty releaving letter should be given before going on leave/LTC it should be granted. In this application our address should be given. In some of the emergency/essential serviceses address is necessary, now a days with mobile number/email id is required. Actually our salaries are given for upto 24 hours. At the time of death the pension is treated for full day upto the midnight 24.00 hours.
