CGHS Chennai Hospital List 2025 PDF: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a medical scheme that caters to the healthcare needs of serving and retired Central Government employees and their families. The scheme provides a wide range of facilities, including OPD treatment for issues with medicines, specialist consultation at government hospitals, hospitalization at government and empanelled hospitals, and investigations at government and empanelled diagnostic centres. Pensioners and identified beneficiaries can avail of cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals and diagnostic centres, while expenses incurred for emergency treatment in private unrecognized hospitals are reimbursed. Additionally, reimbursement is also provided for expenses related to the purchase of hearing aids, artificial limbs, and other similar medical aids. The scheme also offers family welfare and MCH services.

CGHS Chennai Hospital List and Rate List

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has officially approved a comprehensive list of hospitals in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for the benefit of Central Government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. The scheme is aimed at providing necessary healthcare facilities to these individuals through a network of 28 hospitals in Chennai and 6 Diagnostic Centres, 2 hospitals and one Diagnostic Centre in Trichy, 2 in Tirunelveli, 4 in Pondicherry and 2 in Coimbatore. This list of CGHS-approved hospitals in Tamil Nadu is intended to ensure that eligible beneficiaries have access to high-quality medical care whenever required.

Latest Update on 24.11.2023: The number of hospitals in the panel has been increased from 43 to 45, now including Pondicherry. A new general hospital has been added to the panel in Coimbatore, and two additional dental clinics have been included in Chennai. However, it is worth noting that one eye hospital in Pondicherry has been removed from the panel.

TN CGHS Hospital List 2025

The updated TN CGHS Hospital List for the year 2025 now includes four additional cities alongside Chennai in Tamil Nadu. These cities are Coimbatore, Trichy, Pondicherry and Tirunelveli, and they are now part of the list of locations where Central government employees and pensioners can avail themselves of CGHS facilities. This expansion of coverage provides wider access to healthcare services for eligible individuals in these areas. CGHS covers five cities in Tamil Nadu among the 79 cities covered in India.
