CGHS Chennai Hospital List 2026 PDF: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a medical scheme that caters to the healthcare needs of serving and retired Central Government employees and their families. The scheme provides a wide range of facilities, including OPD treatment for issues with medicines, specialist consultation at government hospitals, hospitalization at government and empanelled hospitals, and investigations at government and empanelled diagnostic centres.
Pensioners and identified beneficiaries can avail of cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals and diagnostic centres, while expenses incurred for emergency treatment in private unrecognized hospitals are reimbursed. Additionally, reimbursement is also provided for expenses related to the purchase of hearing aids, artificial limbs, and other similar medical aids. The scheme also offers family welfare and MCH services.

MIOT Hospital Added to CGHS Chennai Empanelled List from 27 April 2026
The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), Chennai has announced the fresh empanelment of MIOT Hospitals Private Limited, Chennai as a CGHS empanelled healthcare organization. The empanelment is effective from 27 April 2026 and will remain valid for three years, subject to the terms and conditions laid down in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
MIOT Hospitals, located at No. 4/112, Mount Poonamallee Road, Manapakkam, Chennai – 600089, has been empanelled under the Superspeciality Hospital Category. The hospital is NABH accredited, with accreditation valid up to 17 February 2029, and all available hospital facilities will be accessible to eligible CGHS beneficiaries. The Office Memorandum was issued by the Additional Director, CGHS Chennai, on 28 April 2026.

Actually treatments in cghs empanelled hospitals are free for central government pensioners but have to pay amt before treatments then to reimburse. It is a burden to the pensioners. This practice to be stopped, for which suitable action is needed from the concerned authorities. Thanks.
