CGHS Health Center Timings

The CGHS wellness center is under the leadership of the highly regarded CMO or Chief Medical Officer. This person holds a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of the center are functioning efficiently. To help you plan your visit, we have included the operational hours of the center below.

Timing of CGHS Emergency Services

Discover tranquility at the Wellness Centre! You can access it six days a week, from early morning until mid-afternoon, except on Central Government holidays. In the rare event of three consecutive holidays, the centres will only be closed for a maximum of two days. If you ever need emergency assistance, four of our centers in Delhi offer limited services during specific hours. These locations include Kingsway Camp, Telegraph Lane, North Avenue, and South Avenue.

Please note that limited emergency services are offered from 1:30 PM to 7:30 AM. Additionally, First Aid Posts are available at various locations throughout Delhi for your convenience. These FAPs operate during daytime hours and can be found at Nirman Bhawan, Central Secretariat, Vitthal Bhai Patel House, Shastri Bhawan, Supreme Court, Narmada House opposite RML Hospital, and Moti Bagh. Please be aware that PHA is only accessible to Hon’ble MPs and Ex. MPs.

Documents required to apply CGHS Scheme

To be eligible for the CGHS Scheme, certain documents are required. These include a completed application in the correct format, proof of residency, evidence of dependent stay, verification of sons’ ages, disability certificates (if applicable), and passport-sized photos of all qualifying family members. If you were previously issued a CGHS Card while in service, it must be surrendered. Copies of your PPO and Last Pay Certificate must also be attested. Finally, a draft for the required contribution amount must be provided, payable to either “P.A.O., CGHS New Delhi” or “Additional Director, CGHS” for the applicable city.

If employees want to apply for a health card for their eligible family members, they must complete the necessary forms and provide photos as per the prescribed format. These forms are then submitted to the Ministry, Department or Office where the employee is currently employed. Once received, the application form will be forwarded to the office of the Additional Director CGHS in the respective city. The office will then prepare the card and distribute it through Wellness Centres. The same process is done for pensioners. Serving employees will also receive an SMS notification once the process is complete.
