✓7th Pay Commission Pension Arrears Calculator 2016
7th Pay Commission Pension Calculator for Pre-2016 CG Pensioners (Updated on 6.8.2016)
Revision of Pension of pre 7th CPC retirees : The Commission recommend the following pension formulation for civil employees including CAPF personnel who have retired before 0.1.0.1.20.16
(i) All the Civilian personnel including CAPF who retired prior to 01.01.2016 (expected date of implementation of the Seventh CPC recommendations) shall first be fixed in the Pay Matrix being recommended by this Commission, on the basis of the Pay Band and Grade Pay at which they retired, at the minimum of the corresponding level in the matrix. This amount shall be raised, to arrive at the notional pay of the retiree, by adding the number of increments he / she had earned in that level while in service, at the rate of three percent. Fifty percent of the total amount so arrived at shall be the revised pension
(ii) The second calculation to be carried out is as follows. The pension, as had been fixed at the time of implementation of the VI CPC recommendations, shall be multiplied by 2.57 to arrive at an alternate value for the revised pension.
(iii)Pensioners may be given the option of choosing whichever formulation is beneficial to them. It is recognized that the fixation of pension as per formulation in (i) above may take a little time since the records of each pensioner will have to be checked to ascertain the number of increments earned in the retiring level. It is therefore recommended that in the first instance the revised pension may be calculated as at (ii) above and the same may, be paid as an interim measure. In the event calculation as per (i) above yields a higher amount the difference may be paid subsequently.(Para 10. 1.67 and Para 10.1.68 of the Report)
Both the options recommended by the 7th Central Pay Commission as regards pension revision be accepted subject to feasibility of the implementation. Revision of pension using the second option based on fitment factor of 2.57 be implemented immediately.

According to 7th pay commission,D.A. payable from 1st July,2016 is 2%, whereas according to 6th pay commission it is 7%. If an employee’s basic pay is 20000, his D.A. ACCRDING TO 6h CPC is 1400, whereas according to 7th CPC he would get only ₹1028 as D.A.. FOR GETTING D.A. equal to 6th CPC, BE FITMENT FACTOR SHOULD BE 3..5 OR DA SHOULD ALSO BE MULTIPLIED BY FITMENT FACTOR OF 2.57
Ch.Purushotham Reddy says
The fitment formula of 2.57 for cg employees and pensioners is too low. As promised by hon.ministers it she’d be raised as per the high level committee to be constituted or atleast 3.00. Govt shd consider the increase in fitment keeping middle class people into consideration.
NUDURUPATI ANNAPORNA SHARMA says
Govt. not given any special benefit to pensioners.Regular employees are getting more benefits, like HRA, LTC,Hospital facility.but we r not getting above. But fitment 2.57 calculation is same.medical we r getting,Rs 300/-pm..no ltc. At least Union leader’s also not considered us.

Why Govt is introducing every befit to its employees and Pensioners just before the ELECTION TIME…………?
Strike is deffered four 4 months wef 29th Jun 2016 which will be completed on 28 OCTOBER 2016 let us see the outcome ……….But not too much hope…….?
Govt is in the habit to pass time by favoring some ” BIKAOU LEADERS OF THE ASSNs.”…………………………….?
Deferring the Strike is not a good act which are condemned by the learned Officials.
MULTIFICATION FACTOR PROPOSED/PRESCRIBED BY 7 cpc FOR FIXING PENSION IS TOO LOW, IT SHOULD BE AT LEAST “3.9”
GOVT MUST CONSIDER THE GENUINE DEMAND OF PENSIONERS/SENIOR CITIZENS WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR ENTIRE LIFE FOR THE “sewa” OF OUR COUNTRY. iN THEIR LAST DAYS WHEN THEY NEED MORE WELFARE TO KEEP THEMSELVES HEALTHY AND FIT, THEY REQUIRE MORE FOUNDS/MONEY.
fURTHER Govt should also consider the enhencement of FMA from Rs 500/- to Rs 2500/- per month.
Prabhakaran Nair says
govt should consider enhancement of FMA at Rs 2500 pm.
Prabhakaran Nair says
multification factor 2.57 prescribed by 7 cpc for fixing pension is too low. It should atleast be “3”
MADHUSUDAN CHOUDHURY says
No 1: FOR PENSIONERS DEARNEES RELIEF WILL BE ONLY 2 %
FOR EXISTING EMPLOYEES DA WILL BE THE SAME 2%
2:YES. YOU ARE CORRECT. PRE- 2006 PENSIONER WILL NOT GET ANY SPECIAL BENIFIT AT PRESENT 7th CPC AND THEY HAVE TO SUFFER FOR A LONG PERIOD. IT IS PRACTICAL.
Nagappa Gowda K says
There should be different fitment formula for fixing the pension of the pensioners who retired before 2006. They are getting less than their counterparts who retired after 2006.Let there be parity between the past and the present atleast now.
Anant Pundle says
Dearness allowance was raised by 6 % from 01/01/2016.
Will the multiplying factor of 2.57 will reduce dearness allowance to ZERO or
will the 6 % increase will be given in addition to fitment formula calculation
by multiplying the basic pay/pension by 2.57?

It appears that the retirees are not given the benefit of modified parity principle and are being paid pension in the lower pay scales arbitrarily. The revised pay scales as per CCS ( Revised pay ) Rules 1972 First Schedule ( Parts A,B and C) are misconstrued and everybody is allowed revised pay as per Part A only though it does not apply on those on whom Parts B & C apply. Contact some advocate of service matters and press the Department for right benefits.
