What is mean by Promotion in Government Service?
Granting higher posts with higher responsibility by the administrative authority. Promotion makes a higher salary for the employees working in all sectors including Central and State Government Service.
Eligibility for Promotion in Government Service
Vacancy creation is the first criteria for the promotion. And the minimum service period in lower grade and reservation are other eligibility for promotion.
Qualifying Service for Promotion
Eligibility for promotion: – It is necessary to fix suitable standards for promotion from one grade to another, including minimum length of service in the lower grade. As far as possible, the minimum length of service in the lower grade prescribed as a condition for promotion to the higher grade should not markedly be different from that prescribed by other Departments for promotion to similar grades involving the same nature of duties and responsibilities. Sir plz request chowkidar issue army uniform and promotion and Toll tax exemption
I was promoted by MoSPI on 24th Sept. 2019 as JSO and presented my joining on 1st Oct, 2019 but there was only two posts in my department and both were existing (not vacant) on the date. Now one of JSO is promoted as SSO and transferred to any other department on 30th Dec, 2019 and on same day my office informed me that now post is vacant.
I want to know what joining date will be considered as my joining date either 1st October,2019 or 30th Dec, 2019.
There is no monetary benefits of promotion post, so you choose any date. Any how another post may vacant after December when he posted there only. Since from the 7th CPC upgradations of basic pay due to completion of every 10th year it will changes higher.

1) I appointed as a skilled in 17 Aug 1994 Basicc pay Rs 950
2) I got promotion after 5years 31Dec 1999 as a HSKII grade pay Rs 2400
3) after 1oyears I got 2nd MACP grade pay Rs 2800 in 31 DEC 2009.
4) I got promotion HSKI in 1 March 2012 grade pay same Rs 2800.
5) when I will be able to get 3rd MACP?

I joined in service 17Aug 1994 as a skilled Naval Dockyar. I have been promoted hsk II in 31 Dec 1999 after that I got MACP in 31 DEC 2009 .
I got promoted in 1March 2012.as a HSK I.
When will be due my MACP ?

ACP got in June-2005 (G.P. 2400)
DPC Under Promotion got in 25th March,2009 in same G.P. 2400 As Sr. Medical Record Technician
and IInd MACP got in June-2013 (G.P. 2800)
Pl. answer me about 2nd MACP & 3rd MACP
Since you first ACP 2nd MACP ,now you are eligible to get 3rd MACP on completion of 30 years as on June, 2023 as GP 4200 (7th CPC MATRIX LEVEL 6) If your. APAR VERY GOOD BENCH MARKS.

ACP got in January,2004 (G.P. 2400)
Promotion got in September,2004(G.P. 2400)(refuse due to out of station. single lady)

Pl. answer me about 2nd MACP & 3rd MACP
1st ACP on compensation of 12 years as additional increment in your scale of pay that is treated in GP 2000 & on compensation of 20years as in GP 2400 From January, 2012 as 2nd MACP. So you will get on completion of 30 years as 3rd MACP on GP JANUARY,2800 in 2022 in 7th CPC MATRIX LEVEL 5.
I Sri Sitaram Hansdah promoted as SSE in Nov-2011 and later I have accepted my mutual transfer as JE in 2012 and working as JE till now.. So, I wants to know when is my MACP.
If its first port as JE on compliance of 10 years joined service date as first promotion as 1st MACP./if it second promotion as 20th year of Joned date as 2 MACP.& 3rd promotion as on completion of 3oth year joined date as 3rd MACP.
Respective sir after grant of 3 rd MACP my Basic pay in PB-2 level 9 Rs 80,200=00 their after I was Promoted as Assistant directer in PB-3 Level but increment of Promotion is not granted due to taken of 3 rd MACP and fixation of my pay in Level 10 Rs.82400=00 in this connection a Representation for grant of one increament already sent to concern but reply awaited.
After 3rd MACP upgradrations no other pay fixations. From the 7th CPC no pay scales for Promotions. for separate posts, only your Designation changes.
No one has replied so far.
Is MACP can be termed as a form of promotion?
The CSS Officers of the rank of Under Secretary (PB 3 + Grade Pay ₹ 6,600/-) getting MACP in the next Grade Pay of ₹ 7,600/- which happens to the Grade Pay of the rank of Deputy Secretary i.e. his next rank in the hierarchy.
Is he entitled to get his pay fixation in the manner prescribed in DOP&T OM no. 18/3/2008-CS.I(P) dated 10/03/2010?
No one has commented on this. It appears that no one understands this order.
