‘CASHLESS TREATMENT SCHEME IN EMERGENCY’ (CTSE) FOR RETIRED EMPLOYEES
Ministry of Railways have launched a scheme known as ‘CASHLESS TREATMENT SCHEME IN EMERGENCY’ (CTSE) at Empanelled Private Hospitals for its retired employees and their dependents who are already members of RELHS. Initially, a pilot has been planned for the four metropolitan agglomeration viz., Delhi/NCR Urban Agglomerate, Mumbai U.A.Kolkata U.A. and Chennai U.A. RELHS Members whose medical card is registered with any of the railway health unit/hospital located in any of the above mentioned four metropolitan agglomeration can become member of this pilot scheme by completing the formalities. The CTSE card members will be eligible to take emergency medical treatment in any Railway empanelled hospitals located anywhere in the country. Extension of CTSE scheme to areas beyond these four agglomerations will be considered later as per results of this pilot scheme.
The CTSE is a Aadhar Card based Scheme. The RELHS members, having Aadhar Card, can opt to become member of CTSE scheme also and for this purpose certain membership fee is also to be paid.Those who desire to become member of CTSE, but are not RELHS member yet, have the option of becoming the member of RELHS as well as CTSE by paying membership fee now. The benefits under RELHS will continue to be available to RELHS members irrespective of whether someone opts to take membership of CTSE or not.
Full details of the scheme and the application form is available at:www.railmedical.utiitsl.com. Two distinct application processes have been designed for becoming member of CTSE scheme. Those who are IT savvy can use the online application process and for them there will be no need to visit Railway office. Those who are not comfortable with online process but whose RELHS card is already registered with any Railway Health Unit/Hospital located anywhere in these four areas, are requested to approach the Sr.DPO, of the division where the RELHS card is already registered. Where they would like their RELHS card to be registered. Those who are not RELHS members at present, but want to become members of CTSE scheme, are requested to first approach the relevant Sr.DPO of the Division/Zonal Office/PU from where they had retired and apply to become members of RELHS first and they will then have to register the same with a Railway Health Unit where CTSE scheme is applicable at that time. Presently they will be able to apply for CTSE scheme with respective Sr.DPO, located in these four areas only after registering RELHS card in any of these four areas.
Beneficiaries will be able to apply online as well as offline w.e.f. 01/03/2017 and cards delivery at their address is likely to start by 31/03/2017. They will also be able to see on line a list of empanelled hospital, where medical services can be availed under CTSE scheme.
