Rs. 10000 Festival Advance without Interest for Central Govt employees!

In the 6th pay commission, the advance payment scheme of ‘Festival Advance’ was in vogue for Central Government employees. The amount of Rs. 3000 was given as an advance to an employee without any interest. The amount should be refunded as in ten equal installments. But the 7th pay commission recommended abolishing the festival advance scheme. Now, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Government has temporarily allowed to the scheme of Festival Advance as Rs. 10000 without any interest.
Central Government employees can choose their own festival for getting the Advance of Rs. 10000. (Example: Diwali, Christmas, and Pongal).
