Online TC with photograph for students – Education Department gives clearance
The Department of Education has given orders for issuing online transfer certificates, with photographs, for students, from this year onwards.
The information about the students, from Class 1 to Class 12, along with their Aadhaar numbers, have been stored through AMIS in the department’s online server. Until last year, transfer certificates were issued, handwritten, with the signature and seal of the school principal.
The department of school education has ordered that, as part of its digitalization programme, transfer certificates shall henceforth be issued online from this year onwards. The Board has issued a school-wise 11-digit UDS number. Entering this number gives you information about the student from the school server. Feeding the student’s AMIS number gives you information like the student’s name, date of birth, caste, religion, parents’ names, date of joining the school, the class which the student belonged to the previous year, and the grade secured. The student’s personal identification marks, like moles, can also be fed to the data and the certificate can be printed along with the school principal’s digital signature. Two copies will be available with the student’s photograph. One shall be given to the student and the other shall be retained by the school for record purposes.
The Chief Educational Officer of Theni district said, “Students who had completed Class 12 were given handwritten provisional certificates. Online transfer certificates will be given to them along with their mark-sheets.”
