Gujarat Govt declares 8% DA Hike for its Employees and Pensioners
On May 23, 2023, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced an 8% Dearness Allowance (DA) increase for state government employees and teachers. This hike will be divided into two parts: a 4% increase effective from July 1, 2022, and another 4% increase from January 1, 2023. The DA arrears for this increase will be disbursed in three installments, with the first installment to be released in June and the second and third installments to be released in October of 2023.
In a move that will benefit thousands of employees and pensioners across the state, the Gujarat State Government has announced an increase in dearness allowance (DA). Effective from 1st July 2022 and 1st January 2023, the government has declared an 8% DA hike for its employees and pensioners. This decision has been taken to help them cope with the rising cost of living and inflation. The increase in DA will be provided in two installments, with 4% being implemented from 1st July 2022 and another 4% from 1st January 2023. This move is expected to boost the morale of the employees and pensioners and help them manage their expenses more effectively.
