Here I would like to suggest regarding the potentiality of Subedars in every Army units who are medically Shape-1, physically fit, mentally healthy having qualify to be promoted and unfortunately there have been no vacancy exist for further promotion to the next rank i.e. Subedar Major. They retired without availing/obtaining the facility as deserved as well as desire by them and even they were not granted Honorary rank on active/retirement. So it is suggested that to enable the wonderfulness of Army be exposed and can be treated equally like one rank one pension.

HFO MK Sukumaran says
Sir, I retired from IAF as Honorary Flying Officer after spending 38 years of active service. As per MOD orders issued vide Table No.7, the basic pension for Hon Lt having more than 33 years is Rs 16160 whereas I am getting only Rs 16090 which is equivalent to Hon Lt put up less than 33 years of service. This may please be clarified.
Ramdhani Singh says
As per PCDA circular 555, terms of engagement of a Sub Maj is 33 years, whereas Sub Maj may serve upto 34 years. Another surprise that if he honoured with Hony Lt then his terms of engagement has been reduced to 32 & 30 years which is 100% wrong how the terms of engagement will reduced on honouring with Hony Lt. As I know that there is no increase/decrease in terms of engagement on becoming Hony Lt/Hony Capt. He will retire in the terms of engagement of original rank that is either Sub or Sub Maj. This is done only for debarring from getting orop benefits by the PCDA. This points be clarified under the rules to the ESM by the Government and PCDA who created such problem.
Dinker S Rao says
Sir,
Para No. 11(c) of OROP Circular No. 555 – explains the following :
A JCOs/ORs pensioner, who had retired with a particular rank and granted ACP-I will be eligible for revision of pension of next higher rank; if ACP-II has been granted, he will be eligible for revision of pension of next higher rank of ACP-I; and if ACP-III has been granted, he will be eligible for revision of pension of next higher rank of ACP-II w.e.f. 01.07.2014. For example- a Sepoy granted ACP-I will be eligible for revision of pension of Naik rank, sepoy
granted ACP-II will be eligible for revision of pension of Havildar rank and sepoy granted ACP-III will be eligible for revision of pension of Naib Subedar rank.
Does this mean an Ex-Sergeant of Air Force (of ‘Y’ Group) with 16 years of service should get the pension of Naib Subedar of ‘Y’ Group with 16 years service ? Kindly clarify
Thank You.
