Taking Leave on 1-1-2016 will affect the effective date of Pay Revision

December 21, 2015 admin 7 Comments

According to the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission report, taking leave on 1st January 2016 the revision of basic salary will be effective from 1.1.2016

As per the Government Notification the Revision of Pay will be effected from 1.1.2016 only for those who are present on duty on 1st January 2016.

If an employee goes on leave on 1.1.2016, the enhancement of basic salary will be effected only from the date of which such employee resumes duty and not from 1.1.2016.

“ As you aware that 7th Pay commission has already submitted their report to Govt of India and same is likely to be accepted soon after observing due formalities. The commission recommends that the date of effect should be 01-01-2016.

Rules provides that if a Government servant is away on leave or is availing joining time as on 1st of January 2016 the increased pay will be effected only from the date of which such employee resumes duty and not from the first of January 2016. All Force personnels informed accordingly.”

Hence all Central Government employees those who are planning to go on leave to celebrate New Year day or for any other reasons on 1.1.2016, have to re think about their decision.

Since you have been promoted on 1-1-2019 so your basic pay as on 31-12-2015 basic pay 12900 + GP 2800 multiple by 2.57 = basic pay 12900 + 4200 only as on 1-1-2016 it is as per the 6th CPC promotion pay fixation rules DNI on 1-1-2017.. If you have given as per the 7th CPC option it will be eligible as on 31-12-15 multiple by 2.57 = fixed in 7th CPC MATRIX LEVEL 4 and eligible only from 1-7-2016 Matrix Level 5 basic pay. Increment option for July.

Availing Casual Leave of Restricted Holiday on 1.1.2016 will not have any impact on the revised pay, if implemented w.e.f.1.1.2016. On the other hand, those who are on leave (other than CL/RH) will get the benefit of revised pay only from the date on which they are resuming duties after availing leave.
