Expected 7th Pay Commission Pay Scale Calculator as on 1.1.2016

“Eagerness about Pay Hike Led to the Formation of the Estimate Calculator for Central Government Employees”

Now that one year has passed since the formation of the 7th Central Pay Commission, curiosity to know about the salary hike has increased among Central Government employees. The 18-month duration given to the Pay Commission ends in August this year. It is obvious that the Commission is working hard and dedicatedly to complete its tasks and present its pay hike recommendations and report, at the most, before the end of this year.

Sources say that the Government will give its nod to the recommendations of 7th CPC by April 2016. The recommendations including new pay scale for all groups are expected to come into effect from January 1, 2016 onwards.

“All over the world, speculations usually run wild about the outcome of certain events. More than 50 lakh current and former Central Government employees await information about the revision of pay and pension all over the country”.

We now present you the “Expected Calculator” which will give a fair idea of what to expect, in terms of salary increment, from the 7th Pay Commission.

Now, about our calculator…

First the ‘Expected Pay Scale Table of 7th Pay Commission’. [Click here]

And another important calculation is ‘Pay in the Pay Band’ of 7th Pay Commission. [Click here]

We know very well that Dearness Allowance percentage plays a very crucial role in deciding the revised pay sturcture. AICPIN, which is used to calculate the Dearness Allowance, has been on the stable for the past six months. Therefore, it is slightly difficult to calculate the new pay scale. As of now, Dearness Allowance is fixed at 120% for the current calculations.

House Rent Allowance, like before, will be calculated based on the city where the head quarter is located and is given as 10%, 20% and 30%. There will be no changes in this.

Transport Allowance is calculated depending on Dearness Allowance and is expected to increase by 3.28 times than the current rates.

How to use our calculator…

Just input of your present basic pay and details of allowances in the prescribed places. Click to calculate button. We immediately suggest your Pay Band, Pay in Pay Band, Grade Pay, HRA and TA as on 1.1.2016 on the basis of your inputs.

In our calculator, the July 2015 increment is added to the current basic pay to first arrive at the likely pay of January 1, 2016. According to the revised basic pay, DA, HRA and TA are given in the output table.

Then, based on the estimated hike of the 7th Pay Commission, the expected in revision of pay scale and allowances are given. Pay Band, Basic Pay, HRA, TA and the total of your expected pay as on 1.1.2016.

Finally, the difference between the two is calculated.

Expected 7th CPC Pay Scale Calculator

Thank you for using the calculator. Let us remind you once again that the calculator is purely speculative and not official. You can share your opinion and comments about this article on our Facebook page. We eagerly look forward to seeing them.

The minimum pay calculated is based on the prices prevailing at the time of constitution of the Seventh CPC which needs revision based on increase in DA siince then which is 25%.. Secondly the employees need to be given benefits of the overall development by way increase in per capita income also. Thirdly there must be a special fitment for the length of their services as is being given in Kerala- 0.5% for every year of service Major grievance is this and the indexation factor as well as multiplying factor must be uniform for all except the highest two scale which are fixed.
Multiplying factor of 2.67 or more is applied to all the grade pay tables except 8700. Actually the highest benefit in Sixth CPC was to pre-revised 14300-22400 which is given higher multiplier factor than that of the 14300-18300 and it is being given higher multiplier factor I think either it is not seen by the 7th CPC or has ignored it purposefully as the last two pay commissions are favouring the higher level officers, in stead of lower cadres.

    Respected Sir,
    1. I would like to invite your kind attention towards upgrading of grade pay from Rs 4200 to Rs 6600 in PB 3 to General Manager, Departmental canteen working in ministry of Defence under the Administrative Instructions of D O P&T. It is requested to save the goodwill of the apex post of canteen i.e. General Manager hence he is controlling and managing the 22 to57 staff of canteen , performing a job of Reporting Officer during the completion of ACRs of staff and their responsibility as Incharge of Canteen. The apex post of the General Manager in the hierachy of the Non Statutory canteen employees cadre has always been filled by promotion from the feeder grades of D. G. M., Manager Grade II, and Manager cum Accountant etc.after the experience of ten years as per new modell RRs. Due to merger of pay scales by 6thCPC General Manager carrying the same grade pay as per their juniors Manager Grade II , DGM and Accountant cum Manager of feeder grade i.e. Rs 4200 which is cause of functional disturbance. Befor 6thCPC GM was in the scale of 5500-9000 and Manager Grade II etc were in 5000-8000 pay scales. This can be seen from the hierachical chart of canteen cadre post at para 3 after the Vth CPC, when the feeder grades of D.G.M etc were upgraded to Rs 5000-8000 from Rs 4000-6000, then also consequently SIU D.O.P&T upgraded the pay scale of General Manager from Rs 5000-8000 to Rs 5500-9000, A similar situation has now taken place whereby the apex post of General Manager has been brought at par with the feeder grades i.e Manager gd II, D.G.M etc. This anomaly warrants reconsideration on lines of post Vth CPC upgradation order of D.O.P&T OM No. 13/10/2001-Dir(c) dated 22 Dec. 2004.
    2. Designation of Manager gd II should be replaced as Manager because there is no post of Manager gd I in Departmental Canteen of Ministry of Defence , Therefore the designation of Manager gd II in the absence of Manager gd I does not arise. Please take on priority and include in the agenda of next meeting of Anomaly Committee and Cadre Review committee of Non Statutory Departmental Canteen Employees as deemed fit.
    3. I request our Executive Members of National Council JCM to raise the issue in positive manner please.
Your favourable action in this matter will be highly obliged .

As a senior Govt employee I will request that there is no need any financial up-gradation in 7th Pay Commission. Just increase retirement age from 60 to 62, regardless of length of service that’s all

    dear sir
there are several unjustified points regarding sixth pay commission for army personnel’s :-
    (a) military service pay. as it defined that it is pay to those personnels who are serving in military but it is graded in various categories as 6000 for officers and 2000 for pbor. it should be equal in 7th pay commission because it is pay of mil service . an officer and a pbor both are serving in military. so it should be equal in each case as offr, jco, or.
if an officer is commissioned then he is taking more grade and band pay.
(b). field allce. field allce paid to those who are serving in field and facing unconditional weather, but there are also various categories in allotment of field allce as per rank. it should be equal for all rank because all rank face same climate and all are made with same component even officers and jcos having better facilities instead of jawans. all are having two legs two hands, two eyes, got same training, same blood and same other body components. so there should not be differentiation on the base of rank. if they are officer n jco then they are getting more grade pay n band pay.
(c). transport allce. it should be equal for all rank because all are facing same are. even officers are always using govt vehicles though they are getting more tpt allce in comparison to jawans.
