Updated List of Tamil Nadu Cabinet Ministers 2023

As of 2023, the Tamil Nadu Cabinet Council of Ministers has undergone some changes. The latest list of ministers includes a mix of experienced politicians and new faces, all of whom are committed to serving the people of Tamil Nadu.

Some of the notable names in the current cabinet include Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Duraimurugan, and Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan. Other ministers in the cabinet hold portfolios such as health, education, agriculture, and rural development. With a diverse range of expertise and experience, the Tamil Nadu Cabinet Council of Ministers is well-equipped to address the various challenges facing the state and to work towards the betterment of its citizens.

Union Council of Cabinet Ministers List in Tamil Nadu 2023

The Department of Economics and Statistics of the Government of Tamil Nadu has released the Statistical Hand Book for 2020-21, which includes general information. The Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru R.N. Ravi, leads the Council of Ministers, who are responsible for various portfolios as of December 15, 2022.

These include the Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin, who oversees Public, General Administration, Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Forest Service, Other All India Services, District Revenue Officers, Police, Home, Special Initiatives, Special Programme Implementation, and Welfare of Differently Abled Persons.

The following is a list of ministers and their respective areas of responsibility:
2. Thiru Duraimurugan is responsible for Water Resources, Irrigation Projects (including Small Irrigation), Legislative Assembly, Governor and Ministry, Elections and Passports, and Minerals and Mines.
3. Thiru K.N. Nehru is in charge of Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply.
4. Thiru I. Periyasamy oversees Rural Development, Panchayats, and Panchayat Union.
5. Dr. K. Ponmudi is responsible for Higher Education, including Technical Education, Electronics, Science, and Technology.
6. Thiru E.V. Velu is the Minister for Public Works, specifically overseeing Buildings, Highways and Minor Ports.
7. Thiru M.R.K. Pannerselvam is responsible for Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, including Agricultural Engineering, Agro Service Co-operatives, Horticulture, Sugars, Sugarcane Excise, Sugarcane Development, and Waste Land Development.
8. Thiru K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran manages Revenue and Disaster Management, including Revenue, District Revenue Establishment, Deputy Collectors, and Disaster Management.
9. Thiru Thangam Thennarasu is responsible for Industries, Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture Archeology.
10. Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin holds the position of Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, which includes Youth Welfare, Sports Development, Special Programme Implementation Department & Poverty Alleviation Programme and Rural Indebtedness.

13. Minister for Co-Operation – Thiru K.R. Periyakaruppan
14. Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MS&ME) – Thiru T.M. Anbarasan
15. Minister for Information and Publicity – Thiru M.P. Saminathan
16. Minister for Social Welfare & Women Empowerment – Tmt. Geetha Jeevan
17. Minister for Fisheries-Fishermen Welfare and Animal Husbandry – Thiru Anitha R. Radhakrishnan
18. Minister for Backward Classes Welfare – Thiru R.S. Rajakannappan
19. Minister for Tourism – Thiru R. Ramachandran
20. Minister for Food and Civil Supplies – Thiru R. Sakkarapani
21. Minister for Electricity, Prohibition and Excise – Thiru V. Senthil Balaji
22. Minister for Handlooms and Textiles – Thiru R. Gandhi
23. Minister for Health and Family Welfare – Thiru Ma. Subramaniyan
24. Thiru P. Moorthy leads the Ministry for Commercial Taxes and Registration covering Commercial Taxes, Registration and Stamp Act, Weights and Measures Debt Relief, Money lending Chits and Registration of Companies.
25. Thiru S. S. Sivasankar oversees the Ministry of Transport including Nationalised Transport and Motor Vehicles Act.
26. Thiru P.K. Sekarbabu serves as the Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments and CMDA.
27. Dr Palanivel Thiaga Rajan handles the Ministry for Finance and Human Resources Management which covers Finance, Planning, Human Resources Management, Pension and Pensionary benefits, and Statistics.
28. Thiru S.M. Nasar is responsible for Milk & Dairy Development.
29. Thiru Gingee K.S. Masthan oversees the Ministry of Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare which includes Minorities Welfare, Non-Resident Tamils Welfare, Refugees & Evacuees and Wakf Board.
30. Thiru Anbil Mahes Poyamozhi manages the Ministry for School Education.
31. Thiru Siva V. Meyyanathan leads the Ministry for Environment-Climate Change with focus on Environment and Pollution Control and Ex-Servicemen.
32. Thiru C.V. Ganesan is in charge of the Ministry of Labour Welfare and Skill Development which covers Labour Welfare, Population, Employment and Training, Census, Urban and Rural Employment.
33. Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj manages the Ministry for Information Technology and Digital Services.
34. Dr. M. Mathivethan oversees Forest under the Ministry of Forest.
35. Tmt. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj serves as the Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare focused on Adi Dravidar Welfare, Hill Tribes and Bonded Labour Welfare.
