Delhi is also a great place to experience Indian food and culture. The best time to visit Delhi is during the cooler months of October to March. Delhi Govt Public Holiday List 2023

A list of public holidays for 2023 has been released for the Delhi government. The holidays include Republic Day on Thursday, January 26th, 2023; Holi on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023; Ram Navami on Thursday, March 30th, 2023; Mahavir Jayanti on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023; Good Friday on Friday, April 7th, 2023; Id-ul-Fitr on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023; Buddha Pumima on Friday, May 5th, 2023; Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) on Thursday, June 29th, 2023; Muharram on Saturday, July 29th, 2023; Independence Day on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023; Janmashtami (Vaishnva) on Thursday, September 7th, 2023; Milad-un-Nabi or Id-e Milad (Birthday of Prophet Mohammad) on Thursday, September 28th, 2023; Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday on Monday, October 2nd, 2023; Dussehra on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023; Maharishi Valmiki’s Birthday on Saturday, October 28th, 2023; Diwali (Deepavali) on Sunday, November 12th, 2023; Guru Nanak’s Birthday on Monday, November 27th, 2023; and Christmas Day on Monday, December 25th, 2023.

1. India Gate: The 42-meter high India Gate is a war memorial located in the heart of New Delhi. It was built in 1931 to honor the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I.
2. Red Fort: The massive red sandstone fort was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. It served as the main residence of the Mughal rulers for nearly 200 years.
3. Jama Masjid: This grand mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656 AD. It is one of the largest mosques in India and can accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers at a time.
4. Lotus Temple: The Lotus Temple is a beautiful house of worship belonging to the Bahai faith. It is shaped like a lotus flower and is surrounded by nine pools of water.
5. Akshardham Temple: The Akshardham Temple is a Hindu temple complex dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. It is one of the largest Hindu temples in the world and features intricate stone carvings, fountains, and gardens.

Delhi best season to visit

The best time to visit Delhi is from October to March when the weather is cool and pleasant. This is also the peak tourist season so hotels and flights are likely to be more expensive. April and May are hot and dry, with temperatures often reaching 40°C (104°F). The monsoon arrives in June and lasts until September, bringing heavy rains and cooler temperatures.

Delhi famous and cultural festivals

There are many cultural festivals that take place in Delhi throughout the year. Some of the most popular include the Republic Day Parade, Holi, Diwali, and Eid. Each of these festivals is celebrated with great fanfare and attracts visitors from all over India and the world.

Eid is a Muslim festival that marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting for Muslims all over the world. Eid is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by Muslims

Delhi is a food lover’s paradise, with an incredible variety of cuisines on offer. From street food to fine dining, there’s something for everyone in the city.
