The CGHS is a healthcare scheme tailored to the needs of active and retired Central Government staff, as well as their loved ones. The scheme offers a broad array of services, including outpatient treatment for medication-related issues, consultations with specialists at government hospitals, admission to government and approved hospitals, and tests at government and approved diagnostic centers.
Pensioners and eligible beneficiaries can take advantage of cashless care at approved hospitals and diagnostic centers. Meanwhile, expenses incurred for emergency treatment at private, unrecognized hospitals are reimbursed. Furthermore, expenses related to the acquisition of hearing aids, prosthetic limbs, and other medical devices are also reimbursed. Family welfare and MCH services are also available through the program.

CGHS Meerut Hospital List and Rate List
Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has recently given its seal of approval to a comprehensive list of hospitals in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This development is expected to significantly benefit Central Government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. By leveraging a vast network of 44 hospitals in Meerut, 1 in Baghpat, 7 in Moradabad, 2 in Aligarh, and 1 in Saharanpur, this initiative aims to provide much-needed healthcare facilities to these individuals. The list of CGHS approved hospitals in Uttar Pradesh is thus expected to play a vital role in ensuring that eligible beneficiaries have access to top-notch medical care at all times.
UP CGHS Hospital List 2023
In the year 2023, the UP CGHS Hospital List has been updated to incorporate 11 other cities in addition to Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. These cities are Agra, Aligarh, Allahabad (Prayagraj), Baghpat, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Varanasi (Banaras), and they have now been added to the list of locations where Central government employees and pensioners can access CGHS facilities. This expansion of coverage is a significant development as it provides more extensive healthcare services for eligible individuals in these regions. Among the 79 cities covered by CGHS in India, 12 cities are located in Uttar Pradesh.

If you are a serving employee. Then ask your administration section for cghs card. Card will be issued from concerned dispensary where u are currently posted. Salary slip along with form available on cghs.gov.in, affidavit has to be submitted. Within 1 week u can take benefits of cghs card
