The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a comprehensive medical facility that caters to the healthcare needs of Central Government employees and their families. Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has recently granted official approval to a wide-ranging directory of hospitals in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. This move is aimed at providing Central Government employees, pensioners, and their dependents with access to necessary healthcare facilities through a network of 34 hospitals in Allahabad, and 12 in Varanasi. The ultimate objective of this list of CGHS authorized hospitals in Uttar Pradesh is to ensure that eligible beneficiaries have easy and quick access to top-quality medical care whenever they need it.
UP CGHS Hospital List 2023
In a remarkable move, the UP CGHS Hospital List for the upcoming year 2023 has been given a facelift and now features a whopping 11 new cities in addition to the existing ones. The new cities that have been included are Agra, Aligarh, Baghpat, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Moradabad, Saharanpur, and Varanasi (Banaras). This list is especially relevant for Central government employees and retirees who can now utilize CGHS facilities in these newly added locations. By doing so, they will have access to an extended range of healthcare services. It is worth noting that Uttar Pradesh now boasts of 12 cities covered under CGHS, which is a part of the 79 cities across India where this facility is available.
