Highlights of OROP Notification

Central Government today issued the notification regarding implementation of ‘One Rank One Pension’ in respect of Defence Forces personnel.

Highlights of the OROP as stated in the Order are as follows:

Benefit over 25 lakh veterans and war widows

Pension of past pensioners would be re-fixed on the basis of pension of retirees of 2013 & the benefit will be from 1 July 2014.

Who opt to get discharged on their request would henceforth not get OROP benefits

Pension will be re-fixed as per average of min & max pension of personnel retired in 2013 in same rank & same length of service.

Pension for those drawing above the average shall be protected.

Arrears will be paid in four equal half yearly installments.

All family pensioners including those getting Spl/Liberalized family pension & Gallantry award winners to get arrears in 1 installment.

In future, the pension would be re-fixed every 5 years.

Personnel who opt to get discharged, now on, on their request will not get benefits of OROP. It will be effective prospectively.

Judicial Commission will be constituted to iron out the anomalies which shall submit its report in 6 months

OROP tables based on 2013 will be made available very soon.

    I have retired on 30 oct 2005. corps of signals on completion of my terms (+02 Years Extention) and engament and served 26 years of service. may i request to your kind honour to tell me how much pension approximate. in the present time my basic pension is Rs 7601/-

    The undersecretary of E II B deptt of expenditure Mr. Bhattacharya challenge me to go to supreme court against him by name they say me I will not give yourself the benefits of double TA you can filed a case against me in supreme court . I prayed to all hearing impaired for help me to fight against the expenditure deptt with money all hearing impaired collect and call a meeting in vote club or India gate or at north block or at jantar mantar immediately

    If anyone hearing impaired please contact me on my mobile no 9958855364 sms for meeting to go to supreme court against the expenditure deptt who haven’t considered and haven’t ordered to give the double TA to hearing impaired the Secretary General of the deaf and dumb employees welfare association Mr Rajavardhan ready said to me that when we go to the supreme court then the Delhi’s hearing impaired were sleeping and they haven’t help me in financial matter

    I am premature disch from service on completion of 16 years 8 months service. During service I got macp nb sub. Now my basic pension is 8455/-pm. Now how many pension I will get after orop.

    Pension is a punshment for retery…depends on that becomes very soon older a strngman also thats way total lumsum amount giveby govt its useful to by house or doing business or without depending on others he can give good edn and beautiful life…ok pension giving by govt but half pension for loans from bank end of the death…secondly if any occassion in personnel athome out side hand loans totally coolaps his pension is zero if he is not having earnning ways what is life early retd is penshment for defence peoples…its happening all over the India…so our finence minister mr arunjetly jee is veryvery high thinking mastermaind he can sujest the govt for its remady its our luck we got honest peoples like PM modi jee..aur fin minister arun jee… the sended only 20 months the are having 40 months in thire hands …as a good citizen of a great India pray for them to wish all axpects..to look after good with health and wealth thrughout the life…then our orop is going to suss

    I Ex Naik of Indian army who served 19 yr 09 mths and get volunteers retirement from service as on 01 may 2015. I want to know that I am also bet some benefit from this OROP. Pl Clarify me this

    I have retired on 30 June 2009 from JAK RIF on completion of my terms and engagement and served 30 years of service. May I request to your kind honour to tell me whether I also cover under OROP for arrear ? If yes, then how much amount approximate?
