As per the order issued by the Central Government on 23rd April 2020, the crucial decision has taken to hold the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for the period of 18 months from 1st January 2020 to 30th June 2021.
There will be no DA hike and no DA arrears for the freezing period for all Central Govt employees and pensioners including Railways and Defence.
In the last session of DA increased to 17% from July 2020. 17% of basic salary and basic pension will be paid to the entire period of 18 months to all existing and retired employees.
After the freezing period of 18 months i.e., from July 2021 the DA will be given with adding of frozen rates.
