Subject: Constitution of Selection Committee / Promotion Committee for Category-I, II, III & IV posts.
Attention is invited to FCI Circular No. EP-02-2013-01 dated 04.01.2013, vide which instructions regarding Constitution of Selection Committee / Promotion Committee for Category – I, II, III and IV posts was issued.
Due to the upgradation of post of DGM (Hqrs.) to GM (Hqrs.) in FCI, Hqrs. vide OMISS O.O. dated 24.06.2020, there is a need to change the present composition of Promotion Committee in respect of Category-IV employees in Hqrs. and also to add Composition of Promotion Committee for Category-IV employees in Zonal Offices since the same was not mentioned in the aforesaid circular.
Accordingly, the composition of Promotion Committee in respect of Category-IV employees in Hqrs. and in Zonal Offices will be as under:
Category IV Posts in Headquarters
| 1. | General Manager (Hqrs.) | Chairman |
| 2. | One Assistant General Manager of the cadre in which the promotions are being considered, to be nominated by Chairman of the Committee. | Member |
| 3. | One representative of SC/ST community of appropriate status to be nominated by the Chairman of the Committee. | Member |
| 4. | One representative from minority community of appropriate status to be nominated by Chairman of the Committee. | Member |
| 5. | Assistant General Manager (E.II), Hqrs. | Member Secretary |
Category IV Posts in Zonal Offices
| 1. | General Manager (Pers.) / Dy. General Manager (Pers.) | Chairman |
| 2. | Senior most Asst. General Manager in the Zonal Office (by length of service in FCI) | Member |
| 3. | One representative of SC/ST community of appropriate status to be nominated by the Chairman of the Committee. | Member |
| 4. | One representative from minority community of appropriate status to be nominated by Chairman of the Committee. | Member |
| 5. | Assistant General Manager (Pers.), Hqrs. | Member Secretary |
Other terms and conditions of Circular No.EP-02-2013-01 dated 04.01.2013 shall remain unchanged.
